The following are my three first papers on mathematics and are on prime numbers. Also there is the Introduction to my book, "Simplicity Instinct" available for downloading. The full E-Book version and printed versions will be become available soon.
The papers demonstrate that discoveries can be made by outsiders with little training if they have a Simplicity Instinct.
Also, on the topic of prime numbers, I have a method for finding large prime numbers that only uses one division, no square roots, no logs, no significant multiplication, can be used to do a large range of numbers at the same time with no additional time penalty. I'm looking for a research partner with access to a supercomputer for evaluating this method (my original partner assumed it would have already been tried because it was so simple). Interested parties should email me at

After reading my papers you will understand the importance of 30. There is one other amateur mathematician, Gary Croft, who has also found this independently and he has gone on to create a spiral sieve and reveal connections to a number of conjectures. Use the links below to access his site. What we have both done is beautifully complementary having started at the same realisation and shows how different interests and motivations can lead different researchers in different directions!
Prime Number Channels
This paper reveals the channels into which all prime numbers above 7 fall into and presents a strong argument as to why multiples of 3 and 5 are to be treated separately to other numbers.

Simple Attributes of Prime Numbers
This paper shows that simple attributes of prime numbers are able to be articulated which leads to faster resolution of prime numbers. One of these attributes is used to build a graph that supports the concept that groups of prime numbers naturally occur between the squares of numbers. A simple mechanism is revealed for Goldbach's Conjecture.

Goldbach's Conjecture Scatter Plot Discovery
The major bandings are explained in a well-known scatter plot and these are based on the prime number channel alignments in the first paper above.

Introduction to my book "Simplicity Instinct - Why Prime Numbers are Elusive"
This provides the background to where my thinking has come from and how it developed. The book is expected to appear in March or April 2012. The final edits have been made and signed off, graphics completed and the layout and cover are currently being done.
